This one is not for the "Common Average Joe" we are, but for most small mid-sized Business Corporation.
Most of the concern is to: System Center Essentials 2010

Today i've noticed down to MS Download Center a new revised article, kb2545698:

    -Article ID: 2545698 - Last Review: September 19, 2011 - Revision: 3.0
Text in some core fonts appears blurred in Internet Explorer 9 on a computer that is running Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2

    Symptoms:

Assume that you install Windows Internet Explorer 9 on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. In this situation, text that is displayed in the following core fonts in Internet Explorer 9 appears blurred compared with the same text and fonts in Windows Internet Explorer 8:
    • Arial (font style: Regular; font size: 8-point, 9-point, and 10-point)
    • Verdana (font style: Regular; font size: 8-point, 9-point, and 10-point)
    • Tahoma (font style: Regular; font size: 8-point, 9-point, and 10-point)
    Cause:
This issue occurs because of a design change to how Internet Explorer 9 renders text. By default, Internet Explorer 9 uses sub-pixel positioned ClearType to render text by using DirectWrite, whereas Internet Explorer 8 uses whole-pixel positioned ClearType to render text by using the Microsoft Windows graphics device interface (GDI).

Download the appropriate Update Package for your x32bits or x64bits OS HERE:

    NOTE:
Some of you might already have that one installed on their machine.

    -Article ID: 2619572 - Last Review: October 12, 2011 - Revision: 1.0
"HTTP Error 401.1" error message when Msiexec.exe updates an MSI file in Windows Vista, in Windows 7, in Windows Server 2008, or in Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Symptoms:
Assume that you deploy an application to a client computer that is running one of the following operating systems by using System Center Configuration Manager 2012:
    • Windows Vista
    • Windows 7
    • Windows Server 2008
    • Windows Server 2008 R2
When the deployment of the application is finished, the Microsoft Installer Package (MSI) file is removed from the local drive. Then, the ConfigMgr client updates the MSI source list by accessing the content server. This behavior is controlled by the self-healing functionality. When the self-healing functionality is triggered, Msiexec.exe tries to access the content path anonymously instead of by using the credentials of the user who currently logs on the client computer. However, the Secure Windows Initiative (SWI) guidelines do not allow anonymous access to content servers. Therefore, you receive the following error message:
HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
Note The issue occurs only when the content server is indicated by using a URL.

    Resolution:
This hotfix adds an automatic logon level that determines when it is acceptable for WinHTTP to include the default credentials in a request. The hotfix adds the following logon level:
    • WINHTTP_AUTOLOGON_SECURITY_LEVEL_LOW
    • WINHTTP_AUTOLOGON_SECURITY_LEVEL_MEDIUM
    • WINHTTP_AUTOLOGON_SECURITY_LEVEL_HIGH
By default, the level is set to WINHTTP_AUTOLOGON_SECURITY_LEVEL_MEDIUM. This is the recommended logon level. For more information about optional security levels, visit the following Microsoft website:
General information about the automatic logon policy (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/aa...spx#auto_logon)
To set the automatic logon security level, set the following registry entry under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer registry subkey:
    Name

    WinHttpAutoLogonLevelType

    StringValue

Available values are listed in the following table:
    Collapse this tableExpand this table

    ValueMeaning:
    L:WINHTTP_AUTOLOGON_SECURITY_LEVEL_LOW
    M: WINHTTP_AUTOLOGON_SECURITY_LEVEL_MEDIUM
    H: WINHTTP_AUTOLOGON_SECURITY_LEVEL_HIGH
After you install this hotfix and configure the logon level, Msiexec.exe uses the WinHttpSetCredentials function to pass the required authorization credentials to the content server if the first anonymous access request fails.

"Error 633" error message and you cannot establish a dial-up connection after you resume Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 from sleep or from hibernation.

    Symptoms:
When you resume a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 from sleep or from hibernation, you cannot establish a dial-up connection through a modem. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
Error 633: The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not configured properly
Note When this issue occurs, you must restart the computer or reset the modem device to establish the dial-up connection.

    Cause:
This issue occurs because a flag is not reset after the device state is cleaned up when the computer is put to sleep or into hibernation. Therefore, the flag is in an inconsistent state when you resume the computer.

Note The flag is set when the computer is put to sleep or into hibernation. The flag indicates that the states of various internal structures for the modem device have to be cleaned up.

An application crashes when it tries to retrieve file information from an invalid or corrupted file in Windows Vista, in Windows Server 2008, in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Symptoms:
Assume that you use an application to view the properties of a file that is invalid or corrupted on a computer that is running Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. In this situation, the application may crash.
Note This issue occurs when the application uses the GetFileVersionInfoSizeExW function to retrieve file information.

    Cause:
This issue occurs because the GetFileVersionInfoSizeExW function has assumptions about the layout of version resources. If a file has invalid resources that violate these assumptions, then an access violation may occur.

An application that uses DirectWrite does not start in a restricted security context in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Symptoms:
Assume that you try to run an application that uses DirectWrite in a restricted security context on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. In this situation, the application does not start.

    Cause:
This issue occurs because the implementation of the DirectWrite font cache in Windows 7 and in Windows Server 2008 R2 does not perform a check to determine security contexts.

"ERROR_IO_DEVICE" error message when you use the DeviceIoControl function together with the IOCTL_DISK_IS_WRITABLE control code in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Symptoms:
Assume that you run an application that calls the DeviceIoControl function together with the IOCTL_DISK_IS_WRITABLE control code on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. This action determines whether write-protection is enabled on a floppy disk that is inserted in an external USB floppy disk drive.

In this situation, you receive the following error message:
    0x45d (1117) ERROR_IO_DEVICE
    Cause:
This issue occurs because some Small Computer Standard Interface (SCSI) command conversions for external USB floppy disk drives are removed from the Usbstor.sys module in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2.

"0x0000003B" Stop error when you run certain applications in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Symptoms:
When you run certain applications on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, you receive the following Stop error message:

    Stop 0x0000003B (c0000094, fffff8800ff22e54, fffff880098897f0, 0)
    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
For example, you may experience this issue when you run Cyberlink YouCam.

    Cause:
This issue occurs because the D3D9 runtime does not perform parameter validation on the rectangle values that are passed by applications such as YouCam. Therefore, invalid rectangle coordinates are passed to the Dxgkrnl.sys module. However, the Dxgkrnl.sys module also does not validate the rectangle coordinates, and a "divide by zero" exception occurs.

    Review and request the hotfix:

Black lines appear in an application window that is displayed by using DirectX and GDI in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Symptoms:
Assume that you have an application that uses DirectX and GDI to display the application window on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. In this situation, black lines may appear in the application window.

    Notes
    • If you change the size of the application window, the black lines may disappear temporarily.
    • This issue occurs when the application calls certain functions, such as the DwmGetCompositionTimingInfo function.
    Cause:
This issue occurs because DirectX incorrectly takes Device Bitmaps mode code path when Vista Blt mode is enabled. When certain functions are called, incorrect flags are returned to the caller. Therefore, DirectX does not detect that Vista Blt mode is enabled.

Note Device Bitmaps mode is a new interoperation mode between DirectX and GDI that was introduced in Windows 7 and in Windows Server 2008 R2. Device Bitmaps mode was introduced because Vista Blt mode, which is used in Windows Vista and in Windows Server 2008, may cause high memory usage. When an application uses DirectX and GDI to display the application window in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2, Device Bitmaps mode is enabled. However, if the application calls certain functions (such as the DwmGetCompositionTimingInfo function), the interoperation mode is changed to Vista Blt mode.

You cannot calibrate a second touch screen in Windows 7.

    Symptoms:
Assume that you have a Windows 7-based computer that is connected to two touch screens. You try to calibrate the second touch screen by using the Tablet PC Settings Control Panel item. However, when you touch the calibration grids on the calibration screen that is displayed on the second touch screen, the gesture is not recognized. Therefore, calibration data for the second touch screen is not saved. You must press Esc to recover from this issue.

Slow performance when you copy more than 10 gigabytes of data to a Blu-ray disk in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Symptoms:
Assume that you try to copy more than 10 gigabytes of data to a Blu-ray disk on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. In this situation, the copy operation takes more than one day to finish.

For example, you try to copy 40 gigabytes of data to a Blu-ray disk on a computer that is running Windows 7. In this situation, it may take more than three days to copy the data. However, this operation only takes about 12 hours on a computer that is running Windows XP.

Note If the computer has dual Blu-ray disc drives, the second disc drive fails during the copy operation.

    Cause:
This issue occurs because of redundant error checking in the Universal Disc File System driver (Udfs.sys) code. This behavior slows the speed of the write operation after a specific amount of data is written to the disc.

    Review and request the hotfix:

Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 crashes if a command prompt or a PowerShell console is opened and closed many times.

    Symptoms:
Assume that a command prompt or a Windows PowerShell console is opened and then closed many times on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. In this situation, the performance of the computer may become slow, and applications may crash.
Note This issue occurs when you use a non-English input method (such as the Japanese IME).

    Cause:
This issue occurs because Graphics Device Interface (GDI) objects are leaked every time that a command prompt or a PowerShell console is opened and then closed. The leak occurs in the Taskhost.exe process or the Explorer.exe process, depending on whether the language bar is displayed or not. When the number of leaked GDI object handles in the process reaches the maximum number, no more GDI objects can be created. Therefore, you experience the issue that is described in the "Symptoms" section.

When an application receives the focus for the first time, a notification is sent to all language bars. Then, the language bars allocate GDI objects for the application. However, when a command prompt or a PowerShell console is closed, the Conhost.exe process does not send a notification to clean up the GDI objects that were allocated by the language bars. Therefore, the leak occurs.

    Review and request hotfix:

"0x00000044" Stop error on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Symptoms:
A computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 may crash intermittently. Additionally, you receive a Stop error message that resembles the following:
    STOP: 0x00000044 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
    MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS
    Notes
    • The parameters in the Stop error message may vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
    • Not all "0x00000044" Stop errors are caused by this issue.
    Cause:
This issue occurs because of a race condition that is caused by a reference counting on lease
