"0x80041002 (WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND)" error occurs when you try to open a WMI namespace on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Symptoms:
When you try to open a Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) namespace on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

    0x80041002 (WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND)

The following event is also recorded in the system event log:

    Log Name: System
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy
    Date: <date and time>
    Event ID: 1090
    Task Category: None
    Level: Warning
    Keywords:
    User: <user name>
    Computer: <computer name>
Description: Windows failed to record Resultant Set of Policy (RSoP) information, which describes the scope of Group Policy objects applied to the computer or user. This could be caused by Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service being disabled, stopped, or other WMI errors. Group Policy settings successfully applied to the computer or user; however, management tools may not report accurately.

    Notes
    • An example of a namespace is root\cimv2 or root\rsop.
    • Not all "0x80041002 (WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND)" errors are caused by this problem.
    Cause:
This issue occurs because the WMI repository is corrupted.

The WMI service does not correctly handle an item deletion operation for the WMI repository. This behavior causes the index tree of the WMI repository to become corrupted. Therefore, you experience the error that is described in "Symptoms" section when you try to open a namespace.

Note: Not all WMI repository corruption is caused by this issue.

    Review & request Hotfix:
"0x80041002 (WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND)" error occurs when you try to open a WMI namespace on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

Those are two options named as important from MS Download Center:

    -Article ID: 2487335 - Last Review: April 26, 2011 - Revision: 1.0
Windows Live Family Safety stops responding during the client configuration process in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

    Symptoms:
You have Windows Live Family Safety installed on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. When you use the application for the first time, Windows Live Family Safety may stop responding during the client configuration process.

Note: The progress bar continues indefinitely during the initial configuration process because of this issue.

    Cause:
This issue occurs because the IShellLink::Resolve method tries to display a message box even though the SLR_NO_UI flag is passed. Therefore, Windows Live Family Safety enters an infinite loop and stops responding.

    Download the Patch HERE (x86 & x64bits):

Call signs that contain multibyte characters are not displayed correctly in Windows Media Center when you use applications that are based on the PBDA tuner in Windows 7

    Symptoms:
Call signs that contain multibyte characters (such as Russian and Chinese characters) are not displayed correctly in Windows Media Center on a computer that is running Windows 7 when you use applications that are based on the PBDA (Protected Broadcast Driver Architecture) tuner.

    Cause:
This issue occurs because of an error in Windows Media Center client PBDA parsing code. The multibyte characters are lost because the call sign XML string that a CComBSTR member uses is unnecessarily converted into a plain ASCII CHAR string.

    Download the Patch HERE (x86 & x64bits):

The Windows 7 startup process is slow when you create many restore points

    Symptoms:
    Consider the following scenario:
    • You have a large hard disk installed a computer that is running Windows 7.
    • You create many restore points on the computer.
    • You try to start the computer.
In this scenario, the startup process may be very slow.

    Cause:
This issue occurs because the boot plan for the ReadyBoot feature exceeds the size limit of 512 kilobytes (KB). Each restore point creates a snapshot of Windows that Volsnap.sys must validate during the startup process. When you create many restore points, the boot plan for the ReadyBoot feature eventually exceeds the size limit of 512 KB, and cannot be stored. Therefore, startup I/O operations are not precached, and the startup process is slow.

Note: The boot plan is stored in the following registry entry:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\rdyboost\Parameters\BootPlan

    Request hotfix here:

You cannot print or print preview Web pages in Internet Explorer on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

    Symptoms:
When you try to print a Web page in Internet Explorer 7' in Internet Explorer 8 or in Internet Explorer 9 on a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows 7, the Print dialog box disappears, and nothing is printed.

Additionally, if you print preview a Web page, the Print Preview page may be blank except for the page number in the header and a file path and date in the footer. The file path resembles the following:
    file://C:\Users\<username>\AppData\L...w\RU4GX5A5.htm

    Cause:
This issue can occur if the "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Low" folder has been deleted. Some applications, such as disk cleanup utilities, can delete this folder during their cleanup process.

Note <username> refers to the currently logged on user who is experiencing the issue.

    Fix-it Solutions Here:

Applications may crash in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

    Symptoms:
Some applications may crash on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. This issue usually occurs when you use the following applications:
    • Windows Explorer
    • Microsoft Office applications
    • Windows Movie Maker
    Cause:
This issue occurs because of a known issue in Ole32.dll. When certain applications implement the IEnumFORMATETC interface but do not implement the IEnumFORMATETC::Next() function correctly, Ole32.dll adds a malformed data structure to the system clipboard. When another process queries the Clipboard later, the processes may receive this malformed data structure. Therefore, heap corruption occurs in this process.

Windows 7 may not calculate the size of writable area on BD-R and BD-R DL correctly.

    Symptoms:
When attempting to burn 46GB of data to a BD-R Dual Layer disc, or 23GB to a BD-R Single Layer disc in master mode, the process fails and the following error message will be displayed:

"The disc wasn't burned successfully. Make sure that you have the latest firmware for your CD or DVD burner installed, and then try again."

    Cause:
This problem occurs because Windows 7 does not calculate the write capacity of BD-R correctly.

    Resolution:
To work around this issue, do not attempt to write more than 22GB of data onto a BD-R Single Layer disc or 45GB for a BD-R Dual Layer disc.
