Windows 7 32bit installed from upgrade, want 64bit

I purchased Windows 7 for my Vista machine & installed the 32 bit version. I would like to install the 64bit version. Can this be done with the upgrade disks?

    Is your hardware 64bit capable ? Did you get a 32bit & a 64bit DVD ?
You cannot upgrade 32bit directly to 64bit, It will have to be a clean install.

Yes, I have a 64bit DVD. My concern is since, I no longer have Vista on my machine, will it accept the 64bit from the licensing aspect.

The serial Key you got with the 32bit & the 64bit DVD SET, will work on either one, but not BOTH if on different computers. Same Win7 version ? Home Prem, Prof, Ult ?

Your question re installing 64 bit system appears to have been well-answered.

To determine the 64-bit capabilities of your system:
CPU Support: a)64 bit operating system?, b)Hardware Data Execution Prevention?, c)Hardware Virtualization?
