| | Help with possible windows update problem. I have two machines running Windows 7 home edition 64bit. Today after installing windows 7 patch KB976422 the problem occured. The problem is that there is a long delay (10 min) where there is a black screen after logging in. This is happening on both my laptop and desktop computers. Tried uninstalling the patch and no joy. Not sure if the patch was the cause but too much of a coinsitence not to be. Anyways any help would be appreciated. Cheers |

| | Welcome, Want to uninstall? Just do a very simple system restore. You will be good to go. No personal documents, files etc will be touched. If you uninstall, you do not know what will happen. A system restore puts you back exactly the way you were. System Restore |

| | Problem solved. It was me of course. It seems that I had to reboot my NAS drive. Windows must have been getting hung from my mapped drives on login. Thanks for the reply though. |
