    OEM activation

I got an oem license. Does upgrading my mobo bios need reactivation, and will it be a problem to reactivate?

    Thanks

    Welcome

Usually replacing the MOBO, will create a problem; that is the criteria if this is a new computer or not. If you have a problem you can activate by phone and everything will be good.

You shouldn't encounter any problem if all you did was an upgrade to your BIOS... You shouldn't need to reinstall the OS..

    Thanks

I upgraded my bios on my pc but it has a retail licence, and I had to activate by phone. Just wanted to make sure that I don't void the my bros OEM license when upgrading his bios.

The basic rule is same mb, same computer. Any problems just activate by phone, they will not cause you any grief.
