Guys, I am also having big trouble with KB980846
. [Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB980846)]
Trouble started really with the last round of windows updates, I am on x64 Windows 7. Had to retry 12 times to install the frameworks updates, finally could, after manually restarting installer service.
But KB980846. Nooooo
, Let's see: It installs OK and asks for pc restart.
After system restart I get the following message box:
The instruction at 0xe9a7e2f4 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read.
Click on OK to terminate the program
THIS APPEARS 4 OR 5 TIMES AT SYSTEM LOGON. The only solution I found is to uninstall the update.
Before I "ignore" or "hide" it in windows update settings I am trying to find out what's going on. I read arround the net that a lot of people have problems with the last round of windows updates. IDEAS PLEASE
