    Windows Update error 80070570

    I am running windows 7 32-bit and until now had no problem downloading and installing updates, but now when I do try searching for updates I get this error code #. If anyone could help me with this I would much appreciate it. Please let me know if I left out anything important as well.

    That error code is a generic file not found. without more info we cant help much but I suggest here is MS unlimited update support. https://support.microsoft.com/oas/de...&wfxredirect=1

    @Mperessini

    Maybe you will have luck and MS Fix It How do I reset Windows Update components? can help you

    but run "MS Fix it" in aggressive mode (not defaultly in normal mode)

    Not always this error relate to any serious issue and sometimes it is quite easy to resolve

    How old is your installation? Have you turned off any services? Is this a "legal" install or a "cracked" install (only asking so we aren't wasting time going down one path only to find out it's a pirated version)?

    I am suddenly having the same problem. I am running Windows 7-X64 PRO SP1. 12 GB RAM, Intel Core i7-940, C: is a Samsung 840 PRO SSD. I have tried the MS FixIt and the automated Windows Update Diagnostic. The Diag fixed 3 other problems, but NOT problem 80070570.

    Ran the UpdateDiagnostic again and it says it fixed the problem (specifically noting this error code). Re-tried the updates. They still fail.

    What can I try now???

    Start a NEW thread of your own.

    Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

    If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

    Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file
