    change product key

I have a non genuine copy of windows 7 ultimate and after having enough I have bought a full retail version. I have gone into compute>properties>change product key but it keeps telling me the new one is also not genuine. Any idea if im doing someting wrong?

Seeing as though you have bought the full retail version, then I would take the opportunity to reinstall your OS with the included disk and then you should have no problem in activating with the provided key.

Sometimes you have to decide on what you need to do vs. what you want to do... if you dont resolve your key issue, your OS will eventually make the decision for you ..

That's something you should be taking up with your IT staff. Exchange is actually the easiest type of e-mail account to set up.

As for your key issue, did you buy an Ultimate license? If so, it should work just fine, unless something was altered with your "non genuine" install. That's the prime reason why no one in their right mind would trust a non-genuine OS, downloaded/cracked from a torrent site. If that's the type of install you have currently, I can think of many reasons why you should back up, install your legit version, and be done with it. You could easily get a few years out of a clean install, so it would be worth the time!
