Can not upgrade because differen language

    Counterfeiting
I have purchased a windows 7 ultimate (english) by download and I should have guessed that it was not genuine because of the price, but done is done. So now I can not install updates.
I then purchased a 100% genuine Windows 7 professional in my native language.
But it could not upgrade because it was a different laguage from the installed version.
I have tried to change the language on the installed version
    What do I do ?
    Please help me !

Hello Spirillen, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Your only option is to boot from your new Win7 Professional DVD, and do a clean install. If you bought Win7 Professional as a download version, you should first burn it to disk.

You can not "downgrade when upgrading", in-place upgrades can only be made to a "better", more extensive version (Starter Home Basic Home Premium Ultimate). Windows 7 Professional is a bit problematic, it can be used for an in-place upgrade only if existing OS is Vista Business.

    Clean Install Windows 7
Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version
