    Dear Flavius

Yes.I have checked. It is Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1.
is not matching with 2.0,3.5,1.0, or 4.0.There is no other .NET Framework.
    May I ignore that step?
    Yes,ignore this step.

What about Microsoft Fix it 50202.My operating system is window 7 home premium 64 bit.It is written there 'Content in this article may not be relevant to you'.
Should I need to run it in aggresive mode before entering the commands suggested in your post '14 Hours Ago 10:01 AM'?
This "MS Fix It" is applicable for Win 7 32 & 64bit too.Tested many time here and on other forums as well.Nobody know why MS leave there this stupid message about compatbility for older systems only.Just ignore this warning and run MS Fix It in aggressive mode

I got a partial success but not fully.
Still I could not update window. But the error code 80070643 has gone away. Now the only error code is 80072ee2.
Let me tell you few of my observations

    1. After entering del *. I got the following line 'The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process' I ignored it and continued to the next command ie cd c:\windows\System32\SMI\Store\Machine

    2. I did not typeDel *.TM* at the end.( It was suggested by dockster)
I finished with the error Attrib –a –h –s *.TM*.

When I am checking for the update it is showing the following
    'Downloading 8 updates (40.7 MB total,0% complete)
After that it is showing the error 80072ee2.
My internet connection is quite fast
    PLEASE HELP.
Thanks for having the partial success.

    I will follow your instructions.
But I did a mistake.I forgot to uncheck .Net Framework before the entire process.Could it be a reason for getting the 80072ee2 error?Otherwise I shall repeat the entire process once again.

I have unchecked .Net Framework then reboot the machine and then again check .Net Frame Work.
Now I can follow the steps in post 13.
    Is it correct?

No I did not get the success.I have tried after disabling my antivirus Eset Nod 32.But in vein.I donot use any firewall programme other than window firewall which is turned on.I donot use any software accelerator programme.I have also added
    http://update.microsoft.com
    Microsoft Windows Update
    to the trusted website list.
I checked the hosts Notepad. It is something like the following---

    # Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
    #
    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    #
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    #
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
    #
    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
    # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
    # 127.0.0.1 localhost
    # ::1 localhost

So I find nothing to put # before.
    When I run the command
netsh winhttp show proxy in the cmd.exe,I got Direct Access <no proxy server>.

I wanted to run Window live one cara safety scanner. But I got the error 0x0C600C03.
Then I ran window update trouble shooter.I got the following error report

    Issues Found
Temporary Network problems are interfering the windows Update -----------------Detected
    Retry Windows Update ------------------------------------------------------------------------Completed
    Potential issues that were checked
System time is inaccurate Issue ------------------------------------------------------------not present

    Your HOSTS file is OK

.Unfortunately it is old unresolved MS bug and it doesn't work on many machines Safety Scanner error 0x0C600C03.Some people says sometimes help here disabling UAC but it not always work too.Instead this use this soft Malwarebytes (choose freeware version)
If scanning will not help/nothing wrong found just try install missing updates from Microsoft Download Center (not from Windows Updates)

Can you explain what do you mean by 'try install missing updates from Microsoft Download Center (not from Windows Updates)'
Because in Microsoft Download Centre there are many many.I visited the page

    Microsoft Download Center
On the wright hand side Microsoft update is written.I clicked on that and my Window update start. But again no success.
    Please help

I am facing anther problem.I cannot uninstall Window live one care safety scanner from 'control panel uninstall a programme'.May I delete the folder 'windows live safety centre' from the programme file(x86) to get rid of that?
