Hi johnss001,

Just to confirm, did you run my batch file as an administrator? The zip file is empty and I'm not sure whether this means there is no patch logs or not.

There IS a caveat, though - MS is currently investigating problems with these two update, so do NOT attempt to force the install of either, as they will almost certainly fail (in an unpredictable manner!)

Tend to agree I have downloaded it both ways now as the update route was not working for whatever reason.
This only because I have had to reinstall IE9 because my employer - yep government department hasn't updated their system yet which also has to have Java - scary huh?

Yes, pretty sure I am alreadly logged in as an administrator. It is a personal computer. User accounts indicates that I am an administrator.

Tom, I just ran the program again and just to be sure I right clicked and performed the run as administrator. The command prompt showed that 0 files were copied.

You need to right-click on the file, and select 'Run as Administrator' - did you do so?

Copy the
C:\Windows\System32\winevt\logs\Application.evtx
C:\Windows\System32\winevt\logs\System.evtx
files to your desktop, then Compress them, and upload the compressed file
I'll take a look and see
