Reinstalling from System Image and want to format C drive

I've been having all kinds of issues lately so I have decided to do a reinstall with a system image I made after doing an original clean install when I got the pc. I just have a quick question before doing it. I'd like to reformat the C and D drive. Can I do this using the recovery console before I load the system image?

Thanks that helps a lot. My C drive is an SSD though so do any need to do anything different for that?

No, I've run about 30 "clean all's" on my SSD so far to no ill effects.

I just used the built one in Windows Backup.

I did have to move it off of my external usb an back onto another one. So maybe it got messed up during that.

When restoring an image using Macrium, you wouldn't have needed to format. In the recovery process it asks you to located image, and to what partition do you want to replace the image with.

    Happy Imaging with Macrium!
