Hi again,
Before I uninstall Panda Global Protection 2010, I would like to know if the Free Microsoft Security Essentials is a good and reliable anti-virus compare to Panda Global Protection 2010 because I had bought 6 months ago a 3 year license which is kind of sad. Also, do you why I can't open desktop gadgets since I did a BSOD? Ok, I'll wait for your response, thanks.

Here is some help with the drivers. Update your Creative drivers. Uninstalling Panda will eliminate the obsolete Panda Drivers. Uninstall Marvin Bus; it is way obsolete.

After you have uninstalled Panda, Marvin Bus and updated your Creative drivers, run your system and let's see how it does. If you have another BSOD, upload the mini dump and we will go from there. This may solve your BSOD problems.

If you have 2010 Panda installed, here is the removal tool for that version: Tool. Did you have an older version of Panda installed previously? I ask because of the out dated Panda drivers.

Yes, MSE and Windows Firewall will protect you just as well as Panda. Keep in mind that there are no anti-malware programs in existence that will give 100% protection. If you had rather not use MSE, you can install Avast; it generally runs well with Win 7. In fact, Avast and MSE can run simultaneously on the same system. However, I would not try that until you know your system is running smoothly. While you are troubleshooting, I recommend MSE.

I have used MSE and it works well. Currently, I am running Avast. I experiment with different antivirus programs on my system.

I do not know why your desktop gadgets are not working unless it is the memory corruption cause by the faulty drivers.

Go with all of Carls suggestions and make sure everything is working right for a few days at least.

You'll be good. Turn on Windows firewall if it isn't already after removing Panda.

Im not sure if I'm doing it alright but I took the first in the list you gave me. CT20XUT.SYS
I went on the link to search the manufacturer which is creative.com
On their site, you chose your product which mine, I'm quite sure it's X-Fi xteme audio but when I look for the driver CT20XUT.SYS, I can't see the name ? Am I doing something wrong? Also, to look for my specific driver version, do I go in device manager and under sound, I look for the driver.

I think you will need the exact model and model number of your sound card.
I'm not sure where to find it. Mine is onboard so it shows as integrated.

Mike

Type Creative in the search bar of the start menu. It should pop up in the list.
My Via onbard just did click on it or right click and then properties.

It may list it in Device manager. The hardware. The drivers will be there but we want the hardware model number.

If needed this may give you hardware ID. Download is way down at the bottom of the page.

Hi again Guys,
WoW, thanks,Lord Denis, CarlTR6 & Hopalong X!
I just uninstalled Panda Global Protection and I installed Microsoft Security Essentials and Bingo, it fixes the problem, the desktop gadgets appeared as soon as I rebooted my computer. I did a scan with Malwarebytes and it doesn't freeze my PC anymore, wow, what a great feeling........10 Million thanks guys, honnestly, I really appreciated your time, patence & help!

Ps: About the driver update for creative, I'm pretty sure I have a SB X-FI XtremeGamer but when I go to their support site, I can't find the update drivers listed in red (Post #12). I don't know if I do something wrong but I just can't locate it. All the creative drivers (Post #12, in red) should come in a package right? Also, I looked to see my model number in the back of my pc but I could't locate it, there is suppose to have a white sticker but I don't see it. Do you have an idea or a direct link to that specific driver ? I also download the software that show your systen info but it didn't gave much info.

The thing we need the most is the DMP files. If you zip them and upload we can do a pretty through check

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Start your own thread in the appropriate section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

That is GREAT news and you are very welcome. I'm glad the solution was that simple. Please run your system for a few days and let us know how it is running.

Here your system info from your uploads:

Yes, you are correct; the drivers should come in a package. You might try to update them from the Gigabyte site: Support & Downloads - GIGABYTE. If you can't, just go ahead and run your system and lets see how it does. If you get another BSOD, we will attack it again.
