System restore half broken

When ever i use System restore, it works but when i restart, i get a red background and that it.... I than have to restart explorer.exe, it shows my desktop but nothing works.

I then restart PC and everything works and i get a message saying my system has been restored.... Why does it do that?

Also does anyone know why my wallpaper is red, because if i have desktop picture to be center, it has a red background when it used to be black.

Not sure why your desktop background shows and not your wallpaper. But try this for the red issue:

Start> Type in Desktop Background and press enter

System restore half broken-1.jpg

In drop down select Solid Colors

System restore half broken-2.jpg

See if it is set to red. If so, change it to (black) your desired color, and save changes.

System restore half broken-3.jpg

It may be that when you restore and see just the color, you can right click and select refresh?
