Acronis True Image Echo Workstation Broken in 7201!!!

Yes I am running the newest version...Acronis True Image Echo Workstation v9.7.0.8206.
This program has been compatible & stable with every single build of Windows 7 up to this point which is build 7201 & it's now broken in this build!!! RRRR
Yes, I did go through all the usual compatibility settings but it just continues to come up BLOCKED!

I saw there was a compatibility issue with this during the upgrade to 7201, but I thought that after I uninstalled it before the upgrade then reinstalled it after the upgrade it would work but it's now Blocked from starting in build 7201! (Anyone know how to UNblock it?)
If someone has a work-around for this I'd like to know it as the only way I can backup my OS partition now is to use the Rescue Disk! This is a Royal PITA to do every time...

If there isn't a work-around fix for this I'm going back to build 7137 where it did work just fine & wait for the next build release as this is totally unacceptable.

Acronis TIEWS is one of my "Must Have" programs...

Since no one here seems to know of a fix for this I'm going back to build 7137 & wait for the next build.
Hopefully Acronis will once again be compatible with it...

This problem WILL not go away until Acronis makes changes to their products. This same thing happened to SEP. Now SEP is somewhat compatable with their latest release.

Note: I have switched to AVast Pro and I'm very happy :)

The solution is to create a restore CD and backup and restore from that until a solution is released from Acronis.

    Hi there

Acronis True Image is one of MY must have programs as well.

If all else fails use the Bootable media for backing up / restore - that will still work whilst you are looking for a fix.

This is also a show stopper for me

reverting back to 7137 -- I MUST have acronis with the amount of testing I'm doing -- too inconvenient to re-boot every time you wnat to take a backup.

BTW you WILL have to restore from bootable media to get back to 7137 of course.

    Cheers

Yes, I also wen't back. It looks like Acronis has no plans to fix the problem until Windows 7 goes gold

    Hi there
Workstation Echo version is the one for SOHO (Small Office / Home Office).

This is the one that doesn't work

    Cheers

I don't know if you're still stuck in this, just rename the exe:

    C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageEchoWorkstation\TrueImage.exe
    to (for example)
    C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageEchoWorkstation\TI.exe

Has anyone tried this? Does the new Win7 version change *.exe files names?

Something is screwed with my motherboard which might be the nforce4 drivers, which NVidia has yet to make available any drivers for Windows 7. So, I've just ordered a new Gigabit Motherboard and 4GB of memory. This will be here next week at which time I will reinstall Windows 7 again, 64bit.

I know Acronis Home works just fine on Windows 7. I'm not sure if there is any benifit to running Acronis Workstation in UNMANAGED mode over Acronis Home? With Workstation you have the option of adding Universal Restore. I really can not think of any other benifit.
