Backup Program

I bought a WD Network Backup Drive and their program sucks a lot for backup up. I have Win7 Home Prem so I canít use Windows Backup. Iím looking for a backup program that I can put on 4+ computers that backs up all files, app data, stuff like that. Iím not to consigned about drivers/system files (recovery discs) but I wouldn't be against having it.

Why can't you use windows backup. Home Premium has it.

There are some excellent tutorials on using it on the site.

Macrium Reflect can also do compressed backups that are about 1/3 the size of Windows 7 backups and save space on your WD Drive.

Is the built in backup program of any use?
I have read in this forum that many people here use third party backup software like Macium Reflect, if so then is Windows 7 built in backup software any good? Can it produce a rescue media that can restore the hard disk if Windows won't start?

How to Backup Program CD/DVDs
I've accumulated a collection of commercial program disks (including programs like Win 7, Adobe Acrobat, M$ Office, various hardware driver disks, a fonts disk, etc.) that I need to backup so I can store the originals in a safe deposit box at my credit union. What I would prefer to be able to do is...

Unable to backup hard drive with Backup Program
I keep getting an error when I try to use the Backup Program. As far as I can tell there are no hidden partitions. Using the Administrator tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management tool, I deleted all the partitions on my external ESATA drive which is larger than my boot drive. Then I...

Do you really need another backup program (Acronis)
Since Win 7 has a backup program, is there any reason to use Acronis True Image? I have an older version of True Image and can upgrade to True Image 2010 at the upgrade price, but is it really necessary to do that?
