Acronis True Image Home V11 has been working fine for me. I have not tried a clone operation. But other than that I have not had any problems....

Of course I can't get my Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 to work while everyone else seems to....
Acronis for me is also fine but Acronis True Image workstation doesn't work in W7 build 7201 which is why I reverted back to build 7137.

Note Acronis True Image workstation is the small office version - it's different to True Image Home V11 which does still appear to work in build 7201.

Hopefully it will work again in build 7230 (when leaked)

cheers

When I want to make a backup or a restore of my everyday Windows 7, I choose from the mobo's bootselection to boot the barebone install. Starts Ghost when booting is finished, and now my "everyday Windows 7" is drive D: I then can make a complete backup or restore of drive D: to/from another partition (on same HD as the barebone system).
That has worked without any troubble since Windows 2k (earlier versions of Ghost in earlier days )
That's allmost the same I do. I got a eSATA drive as birthday-present 1½ years ago, and on this I installed WindowsXP along with Norton Ghost (mine is ver 12 though). That eSATA is ONLY connected to my PC when doing backups/restores, so no virus can slip in, as this installation is not online. I'm then 100% sure that no virus can infiltrate my backups, and I never has to rely on a DVD-boot to restore anything.

BTW anybody knows the difference between ver 12 and ver 14 of Norton Ghost?
