What choices did you see after choosing the source disk and destination disk??
Were some of the later screens related to partitions as opposed to disks?
What do you now see on the new drive in Disk Management?
Did you use the retail version of Acronis or a free version from Western Digital or Seagate??
I'd like to learn as much as possible from your results as you are the only person I know of who has actually documented a clone here.

You now show 60 gigs on a 279 gig C and chose "delete partitions on destination drive" with WD Acronis as I understand it?
That's what I needed to know.
Did you see any choice that led you to believe that you could have chosen to clone just 1 partition on a 2 partition source drive?? Or do you think you were locked in to cloning ALL partitions on that drive? (I realize you only had one partition on the entire drive in your case)

Yes you can clone 1 partion on a 2 partion drive. If i had said no to deleting the partion as stated in my earlier post, it would have created a 60gig partion, and then the remainding space is created in a second partion.
I also belive if u choose to clone it manually as appose to auto, you can allocate a partion size.
