I think it may be a bit more complex than one would imagine and it would have to be specific to Macrium.

If you really want to use a flash drive unless someone is familiar with it here & reads your thread i also can not see anything in Macrium's Help menu you may have have a look around Macrium's forum (I assume they have one)

Macrium forum is only for their licensed customers. However, in their tutorial section, i found this- Macrium KB
But it too involves a download of 100mb. Seeing that I've already ran out of my data download for this month and dloading that on a dialup is so <beep> , I'll be better off with purchasing a disc (and wasting it just for 7mb).
Ps: I wrote 'beep' just for fun and was not really saying something abusive.

The easiest way is to burn the Linux restore program to a cd or dvd. After it boots remove it and insert the LAST image disk in the drive and it should find the image index and away you go.

Hey thanks guys. Much appreciated.
Just one problem. I by mistake used the Clean command under diskpart and i cant format my pendrive now.
How do i mark it logical again using diskpart? I think it has to do something with the create option, but i'm unable to figure out the write syntax. I entered 'create partition', some options appear like logical, extended. I entered logical but nothing happens. The help section gets displayed instead.
EDIT: Solved! Going to retore now.

I don't know why it's not booting off the pen drive. I followed the tutorial there. My pendrive is detected as the 'Verifying DMI Pool data' but no option comes to boot from it like 'Press any key to boot from usb-fdd' or such..

Can't help you on that. I have never tried booting from a USB stick as I just use a CD or DVD. I guess I may have to give it a try for future use.
