    Password Recovery

I'm trying to help a friend who bought a Sony Vaio Laptop and before she could create her recovery discs, she created a password and now it's not working. I've tried using the Offline Password Recovery tool, but the partition on her drives do not allow it to be accessed with this utility. I'm thinking that since it's a 64-Bit partition, that it may be affecting what's happening at this poing.

    Any suggestions would help.

    Thank you!

boot to safe mode and login using administrator. From there take data backup of the profile and remove the user. Create new user and paste the data in the new profile.

you could boot up from a Hiren's boot CD, Download Hiren's BootCD 13.0, when you select "Dos tools" you'll find several Password tools there.
