    Switched over to Macrium a while back when Acronis let me down -- image would not restore!

    Not looked back since. Restore using MR at least twice every week (do lots of testing on one machine) and have never had it fail me in any way.

    The WinPE option alone is worth the purchase price as it can be installed to the hard drive and you never have to mess with boot CDs again. Plus, they've extended the WinPE boot to now search your PC for drivers and automatically add them to the WinPE image. Thus, whenever you then boot from WinPE in the future, you're assured of having all your current drivers at bay.

    Another Macrium devotee her. Been using the paid version a couple of years now and never looked back. Absolutely rock solid backups and restores.

    You can add any bootable wim to your Hd, Paragon, Acronis, etc - however the auto adding of drivers is a nice touch.

    I've had about the same experiences with Macrium Free edition as whs, restoring faultlessly about 30 times. It was over a year ago that I needed to restore until just the other day when I inadvertently erased some files on the Sys disk and again restored back to normal. Can't praise Macrium enough since it seems so reliable.

    I too have tried Acronis, Macrium Win 7 native and I am comfortable with Acronis and Macrium.
    I never run a restore without the rescue disc and so far have restored about a dozen times, easily.
    For some reason, I have issues when I use the program and not the disc.
    Acronis has more features and my techy friends like Try and Decide, not me.
    I am not an advanced user and if I can restore Acronis with the disc anyone can. I have a license.
