    Did you select System files for the PD offline defrag, on the rightclick context menu?

    Yes, if I remember correctly, there were three things to select, system files, pagefile, and something else. I selected them all each time I ran the offline defrag.

    Well you got the best choice of all anyway as far as performance goes: re-install windows 7
