Hi Anderson,

In your case, the easiest solution is probably to use something like free Macrium to create an image of your entire computer onto an external USB drive. If you ever run into issues, you can simply re-load the image from the USB back to your computer. Its dead easy to do.

There are many experienced Macrium users here that can help you with that if you need it.

Golden

If this is an HP oem computer, you will have a recovery partition that contains an image of the factory install. The computer can be restored to out of box state by launching recovery from that partition. Click on Start button, type diskmgmt.msc, then check whether theres a partition called Recovery there. Post a snip here.

If the partition is there, you can also create restore disks which you can boot from if things go wrong and revert to factory state.

Check for that recovery partition and let us know, I'll tell you how to create recovery disks after that.
