Complete Image Restore

One of my HD in my RAID0 setup is showing errors. Everything seems OK, but one disk is showing "Erroe Occurred (0)" in red at post. It also won't pass the Western Digital test. So, I've already RMA'd it, and they're sending a new one. I have a complete system image and a repair disc that I made with Windows7 backup. I know I have to boot the system with the repair disc after I swap out the drives. I'll need to make a new RAID0 array. Will I need to load the RAID drivers (f6) or just do the complete restore and they'll be restored also?

Hello Dwayne,

While I didn't have to load my RAID drivers, you should be sure to have the RAID drivers on something like a USB stick to be on the safe side in case you do need to load the drivers before the RAID drives are seen to be selected to do the System Image Recovery to.

Thanks, That's what I thought.

Now I read somewhere that it may not even be my HD that's defective. Has anyone else heard of this. Like I said earlier, During post, when it shows my RAID array, one of the disc is in red and it says "Error Occurred (0)". Everything operates fine, and I wouldn't know something was wrong if it wasn't for that. Could it be my memory?

Don't think it would be the memory causing a HD error. But you could run Memtest if you want to check it. People here recommend 8 passes (overnight or while computer is otherwise idle.)

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Did you happen to run check disk?

Disk Check

FIXED!
I opened "Intel Rapid Storage Tech" disc mngr program. Clicked on the bad drive. Then clicked "Reset to Normal" It worked. Post error went away and it test fine now. Weird!

That's great news Dwayne. If it comes back, then you might run a chkdsk C: /F on them.
