    Norton Ghost 2003(Windows) Help


    Dear Sir,

    I am using norton ghost 2003 bootable (window) cd for ghost back up create or restore. This bootable cd working on win 2K & xp very well but not working with win 7. please tell me which ghost bootable version working with win 7?

    I already read from official web site & i have already norton ghost 15 but its features diffrent as compare with ghost 2003 & its not bootable also
    that is the main reason for request

    FWIW: I have successfully booted a floppy with ghost 2003 on a server 2008 x32 machine and cloned it over to a larger hard disk. All went well and I was able to get the server to boot once I did a bootrec /fixmbr

    and now my server 2008 has a much larger C drive and the other drives have more space to save all the junk that I have saved since 1987...

According to Norton's site it should still work http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH70425 However I'd like to hear if others are using it and having no problems. Afterall why buy new software if the old stuff still gets the job done. nevermind it doesnt work!
Norton Ghost 15
in Backup and Restore

Does anyone use Norton Ghost 15? I am currently just using the built in backup with Win7. I have used Ghost in the past (well then it named Norton Save & Restore) and had a lot of luck. BUT I have read mixed reviews with Ghost 15.
Hi guys, I recently backed up my Hitachi drive which developed bad sectors and then restored it to a same size Seagate one. The operation was done through Norton Ghost. Both backup and restore operations completed successfully, however, when I tried to boot up with the new drive, Windows 7...

Trailing this product and when I installed got the error "No Mapping Account Names and Security ID's Done". Uninstalled and tried again got the same thing again. It works and made a back up but don't like the error. Gives the feeling like something is not right.
Tried XpVM and VMware VM (via VM Server 2.0) and when i tried to use Ghost, it ran but could never get my USB seagate drive to be on the drop down menu when trying to ghost from image. What do i do i get this USB HDD detected? :mad:
