Urgent: How to create WinBuilder / Win7PE SE CD with DiskCryptor on it
Hi there,
I'm currently devastated by the my own thoughtlessness & also the shortcomings of DiskCryptor (and partly WinBuilder). I am currently travelling with my FDE'd laptop (Win7 Pro SP1 x64), of which I created a recovery CD. Stupidly, I never made an image of that CD to put into the cloud or at least at some offsite backup place.
Now it seems the only way to create a recovery CD which works around the encryption to access my seemingly broken Windows startup (which I want to repair via Startup repair or Upgrade/Repair installation!). My issue is the "classpnp.sys" error, because of which I can't even access safe mode anymore! (Worked twice, then not anymore...)
Now the problem is, I don't get the DiskCryptor script/files integrated into WinBuilder / Win7PE SE, which seems to be much less userfriendly than past nlite/vlite programs..
The error message I see is:
I read about that this might be an issue of specifically v.1.0 of DC (which I hope not, because then I might be out of luck, because I used this version to decrypt my HDD!), but I didn't yet get any answer in the DC forum yet! I rather think I missed something in the tutorial, which is a bit unclear to me. Did anyone previously integrate DiskCryptor into WinBuilder before?
Also, where else could I maybe ask around? Do you know any other expert forums for DC and WinBuilder except for their own forums?
And do you think it would be worth to give the more complicated-looking Win-DVD integration described here a shot? Because I don't want to waste my time on this one, when it won't work either!
I'm really on the edge at the moment, as I have write an important paper until next week, yet I can't because this ***** Windows error catched me while I'm away from home, from my rescue CD...my fault yeah, but didn't expect this to be so difficult and badly documented.
Thanks very much in advance!
