USB boot program that accesses Windows files?

    Hi,

Is there a way to boot from a USB stick and access my Windows 7 directories and files? Perhaps a Linux-like or DOS-like boot program?

    thanks!

You can make a bootable USB image of a live Linux cd like Ubuntu.

    you've answered your own question.

near enough any linux distro can be stuck on a bootable usb stick, and can access your files and folders.

my fave ultra-lightweight-but-still-very-useful distros are slitaz or puppy.
