    Cloning software

Been away from windows for awhile. Am on win7 pro. Am looking for a cloning software that will clone a disk with win7 and ubuntu 64 on it. I need it to clone the MBR too. But I want to go to a larger disk. Is there anything out there that can do this?

Thanks. Will check them out. My biggest fear is the MBR won't get copied. Guess it won't hurt to try as the disk it's going to won't work if this fails. Thanks again.

I really like Ghost Solution Suite ... it allows for use inside of a WinPE environment, comes with a 32bit and 64bit version. You can easily browse your backup with ghost explorer.

Macrium Reflect won't let you only back up the MBR, but on restore it will ask you if you wish to restore the MBR from backup. One "trick" you can do is have a small partition for testing boot CD restore discs and for "dummy restore" just to restore the MBR.

There are dedicated MBR backup restore free utilities around. But most of them were either done in the days of Dos boot diskette or derived from them. Most of the time you can get them to work from a bootable USB key.
