Windows 7 starter restore to first run

    Hi everyone,

I really need your help... Being the blondie I am, I bought a netbook today, the assistant said it had a 6cell battery, of course it has 3 cells... I wanted to take it back to the shop as the battery life is poor, and buy a different type, however they said its impossible, if I already installed windows 7 - have my name, password, language. Is there any way to restore the factory settings? So if one opens it, it will do the first run - ask them to type their name, choose language and so? Please help

    Thank you in advance x

Ensure to connect your PC to the AC power adapter before using F9 recovery to avoid recovery failure.
    Using recovery partition (F9 Recovery)
    1. Press <F9> during bootup.
Ensure to press <F9> only once during bootup.
    2. Select the language you use and click to continue.
    3. Click Recovery in the Recovery System dialog box to start the system recovery.
    4. The system starts system recovery automatically and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the recovery process.

I live and study in Slovakia - and it is called "nay" - the biggest electro-shop here. However, I have always promised myself not to buy anything from them, as their customer service is terrible... But i have to finish my diploma thesis in the next month and as I will travel a lot, I really needed a good little machine with looooong battery life, so I bought the first thing in my budget which promised to have 6cells and 8.5 hours... so disappointed, but hoping the recovery thing helps :)

Recovery to it's original state should be enough to get them to take it back. If not, stand your ground about being misled and refuse to accept anything less than what you were told you were getting at the price they said you were going to be charged.

Thanks to you both, will update you when I finish :) If you need any help (obviously not IT related , but do speak Japanese for example ) feel free to ask :) Wish customer rights were on the same level as in the USA -i.e. there is no way you could ever return a drugstore product here, or generally anything...
