    Windows Backup Question

Sort of a simple question.....if Windows alerts me that it skipped files on my backup, is the rest of the backup still ok? I am getting an error message about a file it cannot find but I don't care if the rest of the backup is OK.

    Welcome
Back up and restore does not back up certain files by default, such as encrypted files or files that the user has directed it not to back up, other files should be ok

Thanks.....my skipped file appears to be a mapped network drive that I disconnected some time ago. I assume that lies somewhere in the registry. I am not concerned with the the error message as long as the balance of the backup would be fine. I just don't like the fact that Windows indicates Last backup as "Never"

To satisfy yourself, try to see if others that you are interested in can be restored. That is the only completely sure way to know.
