Windows 7 Pro x64

I use Paragon which I have used for the last two or three years. There are also free editions to do what you want. I would use an external hard drive rather than a number of DVD's

So, Does that mean they've fixed the problems with partition alignment?
The only problem Ive come across with alignments is when restoring a image of a HD to a SSD, IF, it contains the 100MB reserved.
On occasions it could get messed up.

However, if just the Windows partion it worked fine each time I have tried it.
And also any image of a drive (HD or SSD) back to the same drive has been fine regardless of partition structure.

And I agree, use a internal or external dedicated disc for Acronis.
The backups (.tib files) are located where ever you told it to store them. For example, I have a internal dedicated disc. After telling it to backup there the first time it will continue to do so by default. You can of of course change this location at any time.

If you try to restore from the Boot CD, it may ask where the backups are. In which case you just browse to that disc, or your external, whichever means you are using.

Acronis users - Upgrade to Acronis Home 2011
Hi there For current Acronis users the upgrade to 2011 IMO is well worth the small price (approx 25 EUR). New USB 3.0 support, direct conversion of .tib into .vhd files (great for P2V and V2P conversions of Virtual Machines) plus all the other stuff you would expect from a robust backup...

Alternative to WMP ?
As the title, is there a good light-weight alternative to WMP? I'm talking about RAM, speed, and visual likeness? I don't like Winamp nor iTunes, and I've tried Songbird. Thanks in advance
