Go back into Event Viewer and click the Details tab for Error Event ID 10.

It should give you some idea as to what's going on.

    Krendel,

Let's get back to your problem.

    | type Create a Restore point and create a restore point.

    Immediately thereafter,

    System Restore

    | type System Restore | Enter

Is the restore point listed? Yes or No.

    System Restore Point - Create

Win | type Create Restore Point | ENTER |
CREATE button | type a name for the restore point |
    CREATE button |
CLOSE button after creation complete |
    OK button

WIN is the key with the wavy flag.

Yes, karlsnooks, all restore points are there, automatically generated by system and manually created too, I even rebooted. So, restore system is back to normal.

Seavixen32, unfortunately checking Event Details didn't give me any ideas:) I don't understand nothing!

Quick question if I may. If you do have a System BIOS booting (one in XP and one in Windows 7), is it still normal to loose the restore points once you boot from one OS to another(as in dual-booting using one hdd with two partitions)??
