    problem with backup on windows premium 7


    for the first time i intended to do a backup i used cd's everything was going ok i did 14 cd's and suddenly an error came up i intended to kep going with back up but it starts all over again is there any way i can resume back up from where i left off it also states theres never been a back up what can i do plz help thank u for your time

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

    What sort of error did you get? What exactly were you backing up. Were you using your computer during the backup?

    In all honesty, you're far better to use an external hard drive rather than DVDs for backup purposes.

    Yes a cheap external (USB) HDD is really the way to go - faster(!!!) and more reliable.
    Even though CD/DVDs are physical media, your rewriter only needs to go out of alignment enough not to read one disk and you've got problems.
