Backing up my Samsung R519

    The OP said it was going to take 10 disks to do a backup, how can that be possible if its doing it from the oem recovery partition.
    The recovery partition is not that big, its 5 gig on mine.

    OP wants to backup the entire system drive, that means windows plus all existing programs (whether oem installed or user installed) plus any user data. The no. of disks required will depend on how much all that adds up to.

    Recovery disks are different. To repeat, they are just a copy of the factory installed recovery partition. If you restore from these disks the machine will go back to the configuration it had when you unboxed it. That means no user installed programs or data.

    That did not happen with my samsung. When i created my disks, i then had to do a restore later on, all my user account details were there.

    Samsung recovery solution has a no. of different options. How did you create the recovery disks?

    It was a couple of years ago so i cant remember, my brain does not go that far back
