karl, I already check system files before and after. also attached a screenshot of the scan in my previous post. System files are all good. I think it has something to do with the allocated area for the restore points coz when I maximized it and then rebooted the restore point wasn't deleted.

I would like for you to follow the procedure given in a Microsoft Knowledge Base Article. Be sure to put the space reserved for restore points back to a very maximum of 20 GB.

hey guys, sorry for the delay. just did what you said about turning it back to 10% (20GB), but when I restarted the restore point was gone. what gives?
