    %systemroot%\registration error

When I try to run a restore point, after it goes through it all, that is the system error I get. I have tried all the restore points also. I have talked to people on other forums, but they didn't know. Does anyone have any ideas outside of reinstalling windows which I don't know how to and don't really want to!!! Thanks.

    Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
    (left-hand column)

To gather info, use SIW or Speccy or System Info

Add the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
    “system manufacturer” block, for example,
    Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
    MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.

Wow - you lost me. I downloaded system info, but the rest you said I am lost. I have a desktop computer. Is this info to repair the restore or to give you info. I sure appreciate you answering me.

    Patti:

It's just a way of providing info to Karl. You should eventually fill out your system specs with more info.

Look back at your other thread for how to restore your PC using built-in Dell tools.

How do I get the information from the system specs to this forum. Where is the thread of how to restore PC? Oh, I am so overwhelmed, I hate this. I should never do anything new to this thing. I just don't understand it enough. I just want it to work. Now I have a warning flag on my toolbar and I can't figure that out. I think I will just forget all this and just use my email. You guys have all been so great to me, I just am too stupid to understand it.
