it seem that this guy had the total same problem i have atm Created a test SYSTEM RESTORE point ... attempted restore ... FAILED - Microsoft Answers, however i still not try to rebuilding the Windows Management Instrumentation and to trun off my anti virus and etc. i used them for years.. but maybe some update cause them to block the restore point? i use NOD 32, Spywere doctor (set them so they not complicated with each other) windows defender, and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, i used all of them for some time even since xp... restore point still was working with them back then...

If your computer is working just fine, and if you're absolutely sure you don't have some other kind of malware like a rootkit that hasn't been detected and removed, why worry about system restore? Just make system images in case you ever have other problems and pretend there's no such thing as system restore. And just because something worked in XP doesn't mean it will work the same way in Windows 7. They are two completely different operatings systems and each has its own set of problems and solutions.

umm i meant that it works for me in both.. win xp and 7...

also i never make system images before ... it seem more complicated and take more disk space *-* i also need free disk or HDD for it with i don't have atm... and i have really alot of stuff on my pc... i end up ranning out of space eventually xD

i was just wondering... does Rebuild the WMI components can ruin something? like some serivces that will end up stop working after it rebuild(it like formatting the WMI after all right ? : O)

i may try it but i want to know if it not making any big changes that i may end up feel sorry about it later

Since you have a factory OEM Windows 7 preinstalled on your computer, the only option that I know of that may fix this other than doing a factory recovery of Windows 7 is to run a sfc /scannow command. It's not going to affect any of your user files/folders, or any of your installed programs. It will only check for any corrupted or modified Windows 7 system files. If any are found, then it will attempt to repair them by replacing them with a clean default copy.

If you like, you could run a sfc /verifyonly command first and create and look at the sfcdetails.txt log file (Option Three) to see what will be affected before running the sfc /scannow command. The sfc /verifyonly command will only scan and give you a list of corrupted system files without making any changes to them.

umm Brink.. .when u asked me to do sfc /verify command .. did u meant to the "sfc /verifyonly" (what i've done ) or to just "sfc /verify" (which i don't done...)

cause when i do the "sfc /verify" command it showed me this... i hope i don't ruin something in my system ...

but i don't made the windows running half sfc /scannow on mistake when i type the sfc /verify command ..right? is it change anything or just warn me that i need to write either sfc /verifyonly or sfc /scannow ?

Nope. It will not do anything other than tell you to use the correct command.

i think i may consider use other progrem than system restore then... but progrem that easy to use and do the same things xD (back up your stuff without taking all your HDD space ) any suggestions ? : o
