    Creating a system resore automatically

With my old computer ( that was a XP ), it would create a restore point every two or three days or so automatically.. but since I have upgraded to windows 7, that feature seems to be missing..
How do I get this new computer to create a restore point automatically..
I am not very tech minded, so if you would put it as simple as possible, that would be appreciated..
    Thank you..

I think the default behavior is once per week?

You can make them more often manually or with Task Scheduler.

Often, a restore point will be made when you do a Windows Update.

I rarely make one manually and never through Task Scheduler and always seem to have 2 or 3 per week.

This script makes it easy to create manually. It works in XP, Vista, and Windows Seven. Make a shortcut where it's easy to get at it. Double click the shortcut and type or paste in a description. I changed my default description to "routine restore point"

    Hello drongo.

    Re System Restore...

Restore in Windows 7 creates a scheduled restore point only if no other restore points have been created in the last 7 days.
I suggest you read through the info below re Win 7.
