restore from raid 0 image to single drive

I have windows 7 pro and running a raid 0 system. I am using Macrium 5 to backup the disk image. In the event of a HD failure will I be able to replace the raid drives with a single drive and restore the disk image or will I have to stay with a raid 0. I understand the drive or drives will have to be the same size or larger.

    Hello owood1,

Yes, you will be able to. When a image is restored, it will just restore the size, partitions, and installation to a selected HDD as it was when the image was created. It will not matter of it was RAID or single. :)

    Thanks Brink,
One of my older computers had a raid 0 setup and one of the drives failed. I never did a backup so the process getting back up and running took a couple of days. My new home built box is also running a raid 0 and if failure happens I would prefer to replace with a single drive. I'm running windows 7 64 bit with a ton of apps. If I ever get the money together I want to change to a ssd. By the way I now run two backup systems. the windows back up and Macrium 5 standard. also use and alternate two usb3 drives. the prospect of doing a fresh install gives me a bad headache.

You're welcome. Hopefully, you'll never need to.
