Windows 7 Backup to External problem

Hey guys, I'm looking for a bit of help.

I'm going to be throwing in a new processor this weekend and wanted to make sure I had a solid image of the system just in case. So, I decided to give the new Windows 7 backup a try.

I follow the instructions layed out in the tutorial on this site, but for some reason, the backup service isn't able to see my external HD.

The external is visible in both the device manager and my computer.

The external does not have windows installed on it.

The external is formatted with an NTFS file system.

The external is attached using an eSata.

I've attached my SystemInfo as shown by AMDOverDrive. I believe it has all the pertinent information. The external in question is listed as Harddisk 1. If you need any more information to help me solve my problem, please let me know and I'll get it right to you.

Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

Is there information on that drive that may be included in the backup? If so, it can't be used as the destination.
