    Recovery problems

    Hi;
I have many problems with my laptop. It would be great if you can help me.
I have a Sony vaio VGN-FW280J. I had a windowns vista and Linux ubunutu is the same time on my machine (dual boot- grub2). Unofortunately, my windows had some virus that I counld not clean it and I decided to recover. I used recovery option of grub2 menu. After doing this, my C driver was formatted, but, it could not be recovered. The recovery DVD didn't work and I bought a window 7 to install new windows. When I put DVD and installation begins, I have this error: "Windows cannot be supported to this disk. This computer's hardware maynot support booting...." with current situation, I have 2 drive (Recovery and C). I tried to use advanced option and format, delet and new... all attempts was unsuccessful. One of my friend advised me to disable AHCI in Bios. I don't know how can I go into bios. I tried different keys such as F1, F2, ESC, DEL, F10. With pressing F2, Setup starts, F10 have this message: "a disk read error occured" and other keys don't work. All my attemps were totally unsuccessful. Do you have any idea how can i solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance

All Linux code must be deleted using the CLEAN ALL command. As you have had linux on the HD you need do a Clean all.

First do step one in this tutorial:
SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Than reboot with the Sony Recovery Disks, How to use Sony Recovery:
    View Document
    or
Reboot with the Windows 7 DVD,How to clean install Windows 7:
    Clean Install Windows 7

    still there is a problem

Thank you very much for your help.
    I did your mentioned process.
Everything was successfull in command prompt.
However, when windows installation starts, I have still this error: "windows cannot be installed on this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enable in the computer's bios menu"
I have just one formatted primary drive. What can I do?
    Thanks again

Should I change anything in BIOS? If so I cannot reach BIOS. I tried pressing and hold F1, F2, F10, DEL, and ECS.

Actually, finally I have access to my BIOS. However, since my BIOS is aptio setup utility 1.23.1109, I don't have access to advanced options. I am really confused.

I think Sony deliberately restricts user's access to the BIOS. You may not be able to change much.
