Hi.

How can I have all restore points to persist, so they are not deleted ?

Hello darkhorse

Restore points will only be saved up to the amount of space you allocate to system restore. To save every restore point you would need infinite disk space. As the allocated space is filled earlier restore points are deleted to make space. - System Restore

According to Microsoft, restore points are saved until the disk space System Restore reserves is filled up. As new restore points are created, old ones are deleted. The reserved disk space can take up to 5 percent of the disk or a maximum of 10 GB of the disk space, whichever is less. So it's not possible to keep every restore point ever created.

This is the default limit set in Windows 7.

A greater amount of reserved disk space for restore points can be manually allocated.
