Can you borrow a win7 installation DVD with same lanaguage and bitsize (32bits or 64bits)? what language do you have and is it 64 or 32bits?

Did you find this setting on desktop? and laptop? both are now the same?
And is the setting AHCI?

do u mean like, completely copy the bios settings from my desktop? will have a go now... :)

Just wanna know if SATA has been set to AHCI on laptop and desktop

win7 recovery cd can see your hdd? use "command prompt" for there. Does it list files?
