Bootmsg is missing. ... Please help

Hi guys, please help

I recently installed windows 7 64 bit. My hard drive used to have 2 partitions but after i install 7, i can only see 1. So i went do discmgmt and activate the other partition (i regret this sooo much now). Then i restart the laptop and run into "bootmsg is missing". I tried a lot of ways last night. Today i got a windows 7 repair disc from a friend. I am able to get to the start up repair, tried that a few times..nothing work. I looked here and decided to go with the option command prompt and follow the instruction here as to diskpart -> select disc. And the. I saw 3 partitions, 1 is 100mb, 2 is my regular 60gig, and 3 is my last one, the one that i activate. And it still wont boot. Please tell me what i need to do now. Did i miss anything?

The 100mb is the original system partition - that is the one that was marked active and contains the boot critical files.

Try marking it Active again.

Just did. Then i restart. And it came out with a windows error recovery. It gave me two options: launch start up repair and load windows normally. Nothing seems to work

You basically need to have the OS rebuild some key boot facilities for you.
Two options: with the 100MB system reserved partition marked active using Disk Manager. Boot from the a System Repair DVD boot. (Make one from the option in the Backup & restore screen)

1) Run the startup repair (up to 3 times).

2) I prefer this option but also if option 1) fails.
Again from the system repair DVD boot. Select a command prompt.
Then type
>bootrec /fixmbr
>bootrec /fixboot
>bootrec /rebuildbcd
Reboot
