Wanting to shrink C: drive (OS) the has unmoveable files
I need to shrink my C: drive that contains my windows 7 OS.I have already preformed a shrink using the windows 7 disk management tool.It will not let me shrink further.I have downloaded and installed both mini Partition Wizard and EASEUS Partition Master 9.0.1 home version to use. They both appear similar to GParted, which I have used. They are on a second internal hard drive.I have an image of the first hard drive, in a logical partition, on the second hard drive.
I do NOT have any installation disk for windows 7 as it came pre-installed on my computer.I have made the windows 7 REPAIR Disc and the Hp RECOVERY Disc set(3 disc) in case there is a major problem with the shrink.
Questions:In your opinion, with partition program would do the shrink with the least amount of possible problems considering I have NO installation discs.
If the shrink works,I then want to move all unallocated space to the far right of my D: drive (Hp Recovery partition)
Is there a problem having an image on a logical partition,if I need to fix my First disc?
I hope this makes sense, first post here.
