help, i can not backup

    help, i can not backup


    whats up? i'm new here, and i am hoping some of you more experienced members can offer me some help. i have up graded from vista to windows 7 7600, and i've ran into a problem. i can't seem to set up backup. whenever i click it nothing happens.

    i also notice the if i click start, left click computer, and select manager nothing happens.

    Hi and welcome to seven forums.

    Thanks for filling out your system specs. It makes things alot easier. It could be several things. could you go into event viewer (type event viewer in search) and see if there are any errors (in app tab) that relate to this problem. Have you gone into control panel to see if it is set up in cpanel? start>cpanel>backup and restore>setup?

    i guess the upgrade has messed up things here. A clean install would be recommended.

    thanks for your quick reply. i'v checked event viewer, and there were a few error, but none that relate to my problem, but i did noticed an error for restore . i've also checked the control panel, and yes backup and restore is there with the same problem.

    Not with repair install. with clean install you would

    thanks for all the input.... i've decided to do a clean install, and be done with it. it just sucks to have to set everything back up, but at lease now i know everything will run smooth. i should of done that to begin with, but you live and you learn. i appreciate all the help.
