    Hello again cammy.

You are saying that you lost the recovery manager to install the system recovery, and now that it is gone, cannot install another recovery manager? I don't believe there is a way to get it back, as I am sure that is one of those things that come pre-installed on a computer. If interested, you might look into purchasing software that does this sort of thing for you.

You might find it easier to buy a set of HP recovery discs.

HP and Compaq Desktop PCs: Looking for Recovery Discs? - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

You don't say where you live so you'll need to change the region if you don't live in the USA.

Failing that, you say you have a Windows 7 DVD. You could just carry out a clean install with that, and then create a system image backup.

Did you say your Windows 7 starter came with any DVDs, and if so, what is it called exactly (what does it say on the CD)?

Unfortuanately, I am not aware of any method of making this possible.

    I recommend following "Seavixen's" suggestions
