    You DO understand that "just like the factory recovery option" means that NO applications, NO user accounts, and NO data files will be restored when you do this recovery -- right? I looked briefly through the linked info, and that's what it implied.

    If you want to be able to RESTORE your PC to a working state -- complete with applications, user accounts, and data files, you don't want a factory recovery option; instead, you want to do a restore from a saved image. You can do that by imaging off what you have to a hard drive using the Win7 feature, or installing and using the free version of Macrium Reflect.

    Recovery disk


    Well, you need to purchased again the recovery disk from the manufacturer because if you will use different recovery disk for the same model its still not work.
