Scheduled backup cancelled, yet can run manually
On the backup and restore management screen, it says ‘backup cancelled’. I had setup on a regular weekly schedule. Go to manage backups, I see backups through out 2011. The last one 12/2011. The last backup field says ‘Never’…yet backups exist. Short of it, I cannot find the reason backups would not run. Windows has an extremely poor ability to view just what is going on with backups.
Assuming it might be a space issue. I deleted all but a few of the last backups in manage backups, and reset the schedule so backups would run overnight. This morning, same results, backup cancelled. So…I clicked on ‘Backup now’…and it runs to completion successfully. The last back field was updated with today’s date/time. What is going on with this?? |

Scheduled task remains running, when run manually I have several tasks defined in the Task Scheduler. They're all working fine. They are written in the REXX language (about the only language I'm proficient in). Yesterday, I made a small change to one of the scripts and ran it manually, from the Task Scheduler (to ensure that it ran correctly in... |

MSE - Latest release - can Vir-sig updates be scheduled manually? Hi people Does the latest version of MSE allow for a manual update schedule to be created by the user or is it still limited to the Windows auto-update facility, which may also download & install unwanted MS apps along with the virus signatures? Cheers. Ich. |

I set the schedule up with the BackUp & Restore wizard but when the time comes for the backup to run, it doesn't. But as soon as I resume from sleep and log-in with my password the back-up... |
