Locked out of my comp by kids

So my kids were playing on the computer and somehow managed to change the password. I have no idea where the disc is to fix this. Is there a way I can do a system restore? Will that reset it or is a system restore only done when logged in?

Hello Silverwolf, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Yep, doing a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before they changed the password will change the password back to what it was for the date of the restore point. :)

If that should fail, then you could use either tutorial below to reset the password.

    Hope this helps,

How do I do this? I tried going through the boot menu but it says please select boot device and gives me HDD, CD/DVD, USB ...... Can I go thru the setup menu?

Nvm I see I have to create a cd...... I don't have another comp or internet to do that......removing the motherboard battery will do the trick as well???

If you don't have a restore point available, then you will not be able to do a system restore.

Since that failed, then you could use either tutorial below to reset the password.
